A Salute to Stamens II

Back at the end of August I posted a salute to stamens.  Turns out I have more stamen photos so here’s another salute to them.

There are several yards and parks in my area with dark maroon lilies.  They are probably my favorite of all and, roughly speaking, I think I have about a gazillion photos of them.

    • Given the temps have been in the teens and single digits here (Fahrenheit) since Christmas and will stay that way for a least 5 or 6 more days, the flowers kind of look out of place. I rarely do any “winter” photography so I’ll have flowers, bugs, and other non-winter photos even during the cold and snowy spells.
