A Few Pollinators

I don’t have much to say about these photos but here’s the cast of characters in order of their first appearance:  bumble bee, skipper, and honey bee.

    • Yes they are getting along. I see sharing like this quite a bit in September and October and I’ve always attributed it to the increasing shortage of flowers. Don’t know if that is the reason though, just a guess. However, these pictures were taken in July which is pretty much peak for blooming flowers which would go against my hypothesis for sharing. I’ve lived in this neighborhood for two year now and have walked around quite a bit and have noted there are very few gardens with an abundance of flowers. Maybe scarcity is a motivator for sharing or maybe I’m letting casual observations lead to unwarranted conclusions. Inferences based on casual observations can be misleading, after all it is a scientific fact that possums are not born full grown, but dead, along side roads. 🙂
