More Back to Flowers

I didn’t mention it last week but all the photos in last week’s post were taken in a long skinny garden that runs along a sidewalk a few blocks up the street from me.  This week’s photos come from the same garden.

I think this might be a cosmos that has seen better days.

A bachelor button with an unknown insect.

A purple coneflower at its peak.

Another bachelor button, or maybe the same as above, but here I recognize the tarnished plant bug.

An orange sulphur cosmos.  I usually have a garden full of these, but not right now as I was delayed about 45 days in sowing the seeds.

Not sure what this is but it is photogenic.  It looks similar to a rose of Sharon but the pistil is much shorter and fuller than the rose of Sharon I’m familiar with.

Thank you for stopping by.

David

All photos taken with a Nikon D7100 and a Sigma 105mm macro lens.
