This is the last post in this series of Photos From My Garden.
Monarch caterpillar on a swamp milkweed plant.
Inch worm which, as I understand it, can be any one of a number of species of moths.
Monarch caterpillar on a swamp milkweed plant again.

Even though it is not orange I think this is an orange sulphur cosmos. The white balance must be off.

Another cosmos
Orange sulphur cosmos and this time it is orange; not yellow.
Thank you for stopping by.

Nice to be immersed in garden flowers once again. In my garden, I get a range of colors from my Cosmos sulphureus, light yellow, dark yellow and orange. Sometime a cross will produce dark yellow with orange ‘brushstrokes.’ I love those!

Thank you Eliza. I hadn’t thought about cross pollination. I did have some white cosmos in the garden and since this was late summer these orange sulphurs were probably self seeded. Cosmos in general seem to produce a lot of seeds and the orange sulphurs are super seeders.
