Carpenter bees
Carpenter bee coming in for a landing, buzzing a honey bee as he comes in.
Buckeye butterfly with fly photobomb.
More carpenter bees.
Last week I had photos of a ringed paper wasp that looked similar to this wasp but I think this one is a red paper wasp. The reasons: I don’t see the ring near the top of the abdomen and the abdomen on the ringed paper wasp is smooth versus what looks like armor plating on this wasp (similar to an armadillo).
I think I have another ringed paper wasp here …
… and here.
Thank you for stopping by.
