Some photos from Balducci Vineyard, the Missouri Botanical Garden, and my backyard garden.
These three photos of bird houses were taken at Balducci Vineyards; one of many wineries along the Missouri River between Hermann, Missouri and, about fifty miles to the east, Defiance, Missouri. There were about a half dozen birdhouses around with most looking like this one but a couple were a bit smaller.
I’ve no idea what this flower from the Missouri Botanical Garden is. It reminds me of a roadside weed common in the Midwest – thistle.
The rest of these photos are from my backyard garden. I think this is a yellow or gold cosmos.
I don’t know what this is but it might be the start of a white cosmos. My garden is small (8.5 feet x 7.5 feet), you think I’d be able to remember what I was growing just a year ago.
Thank you for stopping by.
David
That is certainly a new take on a bird house. More like a bird mansion. Great photos, David.

Thanks Pete. Looks like at on time it was high rent but has fallen on tough times. 🙂

That’s a nice Purple Martin house – must be a high rent district. 😉
Pretty flower shots… I cannot imagine having a small garden – I am greedy for lots of cut flowers!

Thank you Eliza. I would love for my garden to be two or three times as big as it is … maybe some day. 🙂

I am with Eliza, this must be the high rent district! All the green makes me miss the green grasses of my old home area, beautiful set of photos David.
