A Few Insects and Flowers

Blow fly (aka bottle fly) on a Shasta daisy.

Skipper on a cosmos.  I pretty sure that the holes in the petals are the result of spotted cucumber beetles grazing in my garden.  I don’t have any cucumbers in the garden so I guess they think flowers are fair game.

Another blow fly.  Sometimes their coloring is a bright metallic green with people referring to them as green bottle flies.

Zinnia in full bloom.

Zinnia not in full bloom.

Remember last post when I warned you that you would probably see more zinnia photos like this one.  If nothing else I am a man of my word.

Thank you for stopping by.

David

All photos taken with a Nikon D7100 and a Sigma 105mm macro lens.
