In order to avoid another major embarrassing digression similar to what was in last week’s post I promise keep my comments short and sweet this week.
So in support of my statement above I’ll just point out that this post contains photos from my backyard and there are just three different subjects, a skipper and two flowers: a California poppy and a foxglove.
Okay, I had to say something about this flower’s name. I could probably do a five minute Jerry Seinfeld type of bit on why “foxglove” (it doesn’t look like a fox and it doesn’t look like a glove , yada-yada) but again I’m going to keep my promise and avoid the digression.
Oh, and I had to say something about this photo too. But this is all, I promise. What I want to say is that I wish I had include another shot with more of the stem. I think it might have looked like and art deco style chalice.
