I think this is a female spicebush swallowtail but I’m really not sure if it’s either of those. The reason for my uncertainty is the color. These are all pretty brown and all the descriptions I read say they are black and all the pictures on various sites show black too. But if I enter brown spicebush swallow I do get some brown ones in Google images but nothing exactly like this. So here are a bunch of pictures of brownish, blackish, swallowtail butterflies.
Hey! How did these skippers get in here? Oh yeah, there’re everywhere.
Thank you for stopping by my blog.

Nice shots David. I have seen some brown Eastern Swallowtails. They’re on the 5th and 6th slide – https://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/species/Papilio-glaucus

Thanks Maverick! I think that is it. A dark, female, eastern tiger swallowtail. Even though I had posted something about the dark female, ETS earlier this year I had forgotten about them. I looked at your link which prompted me to revisited eastern tiger swallow tails sites and I’m pretty sure that’s it.
