Cosmoses and Cucumber Beetles

Place:  My Backyard

Date:   October 17, 2015

Three or four weeks ago I had a post called Spotted Cucumber Beetle on Plains Coreopsis.  This week I have more photos from that session but this time the cucumber beetles on cosmoses.  Not all the photos have a cucumber beetle in them.

    • Thank you Donna. At my old house I used to find and photograph them on a knock out rose bush that produced pale yellow flowers. I was pretty happy to find that I have them here too to photograph. I’ve never had a problem with them with regard to any significant damage but I’ve seen what they can do so I guess I’ve been lucky. The pests that I have that destroy whole plants (cone flowers, lilies, cosmoses, and zinnias) are rabbits and squirrels.
