New Lens

These photos are from the “first roll” taken with my new lens a Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro OS mounted on my Nikon D7100. I have since take a few more pictures which I’ll be sharing. I can’t say that I love the lens but that may just be because I’m not that familiar with how to use a macro.

I think the butterfly is called a Painted Lady.

Thanks for stopping to view my photos.

    • Well, yes an no. Patience is required for macro photography, especially on a windy day with flowers. As I recall though I was fortunate here in that the butterfly was pretty much putting up with me and not taking off as soon as I got my lens up. I did have to follow her around a bit but she was uncharacteristically cooperative. Thank you for taking the time to view and comment.
